I can't wait for NYE this year!!!  I am very excited about the PINK HOTEL. I will be joining house music veteran DJ, producer and record label boss, Fred Everything and the Pink Mammoth Burningman camp crew at the newly remodeled courtyard of the Phoenix Hotel and Chambers.  The pool side courtyard will be decorated all in pink with heated Cabana's.  Not to mention the DJ Booth in the middle of the pool where I will be playing 12-1am.  This will be one of the better house music events in San Francisco this year.  Complimentary champagne toast at midnight and two rooms of dance music. 
Blasthaus will adorn the event with pink décor and lighting as well as state-of-the-art visuals in the outdoor courtyard. Blasthaus will also be creating a virtual ball drop and fireworks display at the stroke of 12 when free champagne will be given to everyone. Pink Mammoth’s own sound system will be installed with the DJ booth located on top of the pool and DJs will also perform in the second area of sound and dancing inside Chambers on its custom made Funktion One sound system.  Chambers is not the old Bambudda lounge people, it has been fully remodeled.  Check out the photos of the new Chambers and pool side courtyard. Just image this party going off with Pink decor as we rage into 2012.

This week BASE features one of my favorite producers, Carlo Lio.  I have been playing Carlo's tracks for the last 4 years and have watched him become a well known producer.  These days every Techno DJ seems to have a Carlo track on hand for their sets.  His tracks were getting plays by guys like Carl Cox, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire and many more.  A few years back Carlo was signed to Dubfire's Sci+Tec label and started tour with Dubfire and Davide Squillace.  Carl Cox loved Carlo's music so much that he invited Carlo to a residency at his infamous Revolution party at Space in Ibiza.  Expect a night of big beat techno with a funky groove.  Our buddies from Sense, Ben and Dean are opening so come early.  Want to see who's going, check out the facebook event page.

Its the return of Hi-Tek Soul to SF and with non other than Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson.  Known as techno LEGENDS because they are acredited to finding the genre "Techno" back in the mid 80's.  Two of the guys who started it all.  Derrick May's Strings of Life track, was one of the most influential dance music tracks of the 90's.  People are still playing and remixing that track.  The ones of you who have not seen Derrick May, live behind the decks, your in for a treat.  The man is one of the most exciting DJs to watch.  He controls the dance floor with authority while pulling you in to dance.  I would say as far as DJ skills go, Derrick May is definitely in the top 3 of all time.  As for Mr. Saunderson, don't forget about his success with Inner City, selling millions of copies in 80's and becoming one of the most popular dance tracks of its time.  This party is going to take off, grab discount tickets and don't miss one of the best events in SF this Saturday.  Want to see whos going?
